COLLECTION RETENTION POLICY
Retention and weeding in all areas of the Library’s collection will be focused on retaining those materials and resources that meet the needs of Forefront’s users as defined by the Collection Development Policy. Retention of materials is based on several factors, including but not limited to, historical interest, uniqueness, availability elsewhere, and currency. Library patron demand and statistics also have an impact on the retention or replacement of materials. Weeding is done on an ongoing basis at the discretion of the Library Services Manager with input from the Vice President of Member Engagement.
