In this section, we will review the basic search screen fields in The Catholic Funding Guide Online.

Search Screen Fields

The basics of searching:

  • Go to the Search page. You'll see several data entry boxes in which you can enter search criteria.
  • Fill as many or as few boxes as you like.
  • Click the Search button in the bottom center of the page.
  • Once you click the Search button, you will see a list of funders whose profiles match your criteria.  Each grantmaker's name is a link to the complete profile.


Tips:

  • Generally, the more information you put in, the fewer results a search returns.
  • You can print your search results and individual profiles through your web browser.

The Search Screen

The CFG Online's search screen is fairly straighforward. 

 

Search Fields

Grantmaker: Limits the results to only those grantmakers that have the specified text in their name.

City/County: Limit the results to the grantmakers with a mailing address in the given city.

State: Limit the results to the grantmakers with a mailing address in the given state.  Use the state's two character abbreviation.

Zip Code: Limit the results to the grantmakers with a mailing address in the given zip code. 

Special Interest: Limits the results to only those grantmakers that have the specified special interest areas.

Geography: Limits the results to only those grantmakers that serve the specified geographic area.

Total Giving: The minimum and maximum amounts of total giving to include in the results.

Total Assets: The minimum and maximum amounts of total assets to include in the results.
