Non Profit Bylaws: Home

Intro

This LibGuide serves as a centralized resource for nonprofits seeking information, resources, and tools related to nonprofit bylaws.

All nonprofit organizations require regulations to guide how they are governed. Bylaws are the legally binding rules that govern how an organization’s affairs are managed. They establish the structure of the Board of Directors and define the rules and procedures for both the organization and its board. Bylaws guide the Board of Directors in overseeing the organization’s operations and must comply with Illinois law governing not-for-profit corporations. (805 ILCS 105/102.25).
