About this guide
This guide is designed to link the user to key government documents in an online format and to selected agencies. It also includes access to online versions of core documents offered by depository libraries. A depository library agrees to collect and make available to the public core documents in print format and selects additional print and online resources that meet the needs of the library's users
Library staff CANNOT answer questions about specific government agencies or their services. Additionally, Forefront Library is NOT a depository library, but the following links will direct you to those libraries in Illinois that participate in depository programs. Please contact a depository directly for additional information.
Directory of Illinois Documents Depositories
"The role of the Illinois depository libraries is to provide statewide access to those publications emanating from Illinois State Agencies."
Directory of Federal Depository Libraries in Illinois
"Libraries that have been designated as Federal depositories maintain information products from all three branches of the Government as part of their existing collections and are responsible for assuring that the public has free access to the material provided by the FDLP. "
