The Library's Collection

The Library's collection includes books, periodicals, and digital resources on grantwriting, grantmaking, fundraising, nonprofit management, leadership, governance, and other topics.
 
The Library also provides access to prospect research databases, including ResearchPoint for individual prospects, and Foundation Directory Online for foundation and corporate grants and sponsorships.

Special Collections

The Eleanor Petersen Resource Collection

The Foundation Center Collection of the Forefront Library is dedicated to Eleanor Petersen, founding President of Forefront, originally known as the Donors Forum of Chicago, in recognition of her deep commitment to the partnership between Chicago's donor community and vital, nonprofit sector, both of which are served through this library.

The Valerie S. Lies Family Philanthropy Collection

In June 2007 the Family Philanthropy Collection of the Forefront Library was dedicated to Valerie S. Lies, President and CEO of Forefront, 1987 - 2014, in recognition of twenty years of outstanding leadership.
